How to Prepare an Aircraft for Mobile Washing
A useful mobile-wash appointment starts before arrival: confirm the aircraft location, facility permission, access, category, condition, requested services, surface restrictions, keys, positioning, and preferred timing. Ozark Aircraft Wash brings its own products, equipment, and water.

The Most Important Preparation
Make sure the aircraft can be reached and the proposed cleaning is allowed. Mobile service does not imply guaranteed ramp, hangar, gate, security, airport, FBO, or private-facility access. The customer coordinates those permissions and notifications when required.
Before Requesting a Quote
- Confirm the aircraft’s location. Provide the proposed airport, ramp, hangar, FBO, or private-facility context without assuming Ozark Aircraft Wash already has access.
- Identify the aircraft category. Current pricing supports single-engine aircraft, twin-piston aircraft, turboprops, very light jets, and light jets. A category helps frame size and pricing without implying model specialization.
- Describe general condition. Mention light dust, bugs, fingerprints, weather exposure, exhaust residue, belly buildup, interior needs, or unusually heavy areas.
- Select requested services. State whether you want exterior washing, waterless or wet washing if known, bugs, belly cleaning, interior cleaning, temporary spray protection, or recurring appearance care.
- Share preferred timing. At least 24 hours of advance notice is preferred. Availability can vary with travel, weather, access, and existing commitments.
Arrange Facility and Aircraft Access
- Notify the airport, FBO, hangar operator, or private facility when required.
- Arrange gate, ramp, hangar, and security access.
- Confirm the aircraft itself can be accessed.
- Plan to meet Ozark Aircraft Wash at the aircraft when required.
- Confirm that mobile cleaning is permitted in the proposed area.
- For wet washing, ask about water-use and runoff rules.
Access plans should be communicated before travel. The business is based in Ava, Missouri, and longer-distance appointments are considered individually.
Confirm Appropriate Positioning
The aircraft should be in a location where the requested accessible surfaces can be reached and work can occur without conflicting with facility operations. Belly work may require additional access around lower surfaces. Interior service may require a usable door, keys, or owner-provided access arrangement.
This checklist does not tell an owner to move, operate, unlock, energize, or manipulate an aircraft or aircraft system beyond that person’s authority and normal procedures. Positioning remains an owner/facility coordination matter.
Disclose Special Surfaces and Restrictions
Tell Ozark Aircraft Wash about special coatings, paint finishes, transparencies, sensitive materials, decals, existing protection products, known problem areas, repairs, and manufacturer restrictions. Information that affects product or method selection should be shared before work begins rather than discovered after application starts.
Ozark Aircraft Wash uses RealClean Aviation Products selected for aircraft cleaning and appearance care. That does not mean every product is suitable for every surface, and no FAA, OEM, manufacturer, or factory approval is claimed.
Exterior and Interior Preparation
For exterior work
- Describe bugs, exhaust residue, oil, grease, dirt, and broad grime.
- Identify whether the aircraft is hangared or outdoors.
- Confirm wet washing or waterless work is allowed.
- Disclose sensitive exterior areas and finish restrictions.
- Discuss whether belly access and positioning are available.
For interior work
- Remove or secure personal items and documents.
- Point out materials or areas that require special instructions.
- Arrange keys, doors, and cabin access when needed.
- State whether vacuuming, cabin cleanup, and leather/plastic wipe-down are requested.
- Do not assume restoration, stain removal, repair, disinfection, or avionics cleaning is included.
What Ozark Aircraft Wash Brings
Ozark Aircraft Wash arrives with its own aircraft-cleaning equipment, products, and water supply. Owners are not instructed to provide water or power. Bringing those resources supports a mobile appointment but does not override site rules or guarantee that every requested method can be used in every work area.
For a wet wash, facility permission and runoff requirements still matter. For waterless work, reduced water use does not eliminate the need for permission, access, surface review, and an appropriate contamination level.
Discuss Travel and Scheduling Clearly
Mobile service is available throughout the region, with longer-distance appointments considered individually. Travel charges may apply based on distance and scheduling. No fixed radius, mileage fee, unlimited-travel promise, or nationwide guarantee is stated.
At least 24 hours of notice is preferred because scheduling must account for other obligations. Weather, travel, facility access, aircraft access, and existing commitments can affect appointment availability. No same-day availability, emergency service, overnight availability, fixed hours, or response-time promise is made.
Keep the Request within Appearance Care
Mobile washing and cleaning do not include maintenance, inspection, leak diagnosis, corrosion evaluation, system operation, mechanical work, or an airworthiness determination. If a visible area raises a concern outside cleaning, the owner should use applicable aircraft guidance and appropriately authorized people.
